Why does the Census matter locally?
1. The City stands to lose $1400.00 for each person not counted.
2. Education funds are tied to our Census numbers.
3. Funding for Job Assistance Programs, Senior Centers, Roads, Hospitals and other public programs and services is tied to our Census numbers.
4. If you aren't counted another community could receive funding our City would use for programs important for our children, adults and seniors.

If you did not fill out and return your 2010 Census you should be receiving a visit from a Census Worker who will ask you the same questions found on the Census Form.

Safety First
Be sure to ask for the worker's identification and look for the placard in the window of their vehicle indicating that they are working for the Census. Also, a Census Worker will NEVER ask to enter your home. DO NOT let a Census Worker in your home.
