A Little Time is All it Takes The Parks and Recreation Department has excellent volunteer opportunities for civic organizations, individuals, churches, businesses, Boy and Girl Scouts or anyone wanting to help with worthwhile community projects. Volunteers Keep the City Beautiful •Help maintain clean areas and facilities by removing litter in parks, athletic facilities, and the shoreline of ponds, lakes, and creeks.The City will furnish plastic bags if needed.
•Painting park fencing, benches, small structures, and signs.The City will furnish the paint. Volunteers are asked to furnish brushes and cleanup materials.
•Work with staff on recreational events and programs, such as Halloween in the Park, and the 50 Plus Zone.
•Perform routine maintenance tasks for trees and flower beds by going along with a supervised park maintenance crew.Transportation will be provided to the sites.
