The Assistant City Manager is also the staff liaison to the 4A and 4B Sales Tax Boards. The 4A Board is officially named the Wichita Falls Economic Development Corporation. This board is responsible for promoting, assisting, and enhancing economic development activities for the City.
The 4B Board, or 4B Sales Tax Corporation, is responsible for economic development by funding public improvements including, but not limited to, projects for the Public Library, Police and Fire Departments, public parks, streets, drainage, and the maintenance and operating expenses for any project authorized by law.
