H1N1 Mass Vaccination Clinic
The Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District will be providing an H1N1 flu vaccination clinic at the Wichita Falls Multi-Purpose Event Center’s (MPEC) Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall on Saturday, December 5, 2009, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
This clinic is only for those who fall under the following H1N1 vaccination priority groups as set by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC):
- Pregnant women
- Household contacts and caregivers for children younger than 6 months of age
- Health care and emergency medical services personnel with direct patient contact
- All people from 6 months through 24 years of age
- Persons aged 25 through 64 years who have health conditions associated with higher risk of medical complications from influenza
The H1N1 flu vaccinations will be provided free of charge. However, Medicare and Medicaid will be billed an administrative fee for this vaccination. Medicare and Medicaid recipients must bring their Medicare / Medicaid cards.
