Responsibilities The Training Section conducts recruitment and processing of new police officers, continuing training for all sworn personnel and offers training for many other law enforcement agencies and departments. The Training Section is also responsible for background investigations, maintaining alarm permits and collecting false alarm fees.
The Training Calendar contains a complete list of courses offered by the Training Section. The calendar is updated frequently so interested parties should monitor the calendar for classes and schedules. All training is held at the Public Safety Training Center located at 710 Flood Street.
