Traveling Exhibit: Held on the Homefront - Nov. 6 - Nov. 7
Traveling Exhibit Tells Unknown Story of German POWs Held in Camps All Over the U.S. During WWII.
Using ten narrative panels and films about this story, TRACES’ mobile museum—a retrofitted school bus called the BUS-eum 3—will tour 26 states in the Midwest, South, Southeast, and Eastern Seaboard from Labor Day 2009 through June 2010, reaching schools, libraries and historical societies. TRACES exhibit driver, Irving Kellman, will tour with the exhibit and is available for phone or live interviews as the tour progresses.

When: The exhibit will be open from 12:30p.m. to 7:30 p.m on Friday, and from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Reading Tails - Nov. 17
Encourage reading skills by bringing children in to read aloud to Puppy Love, a group of trained therapy dogs who love to be read to. The children can bring a book with them or choose one at the library. This is a great opportunities for all young readers!

Christmas Magic - Nov. 6 - Nov. 8
Christmas Magic Holiday Market is the Junior League of Wichita Falls' largest fundraising event. This year they are celebrating their 28th year. Get your holiday shopping done while benefiting an organization that gives funds to non-profits and community projects. You'll find crafts, jewelry, holiday decor, clothing- all under one roof.

Wichita Falls Symphony presents American Treasure, Tribute to Leonard Bernstein - Nov. 7
Leonard Bernstein served as a music ambassador to the world and defined American music. Benrstein is able to capture the gritty life amid the docks and slums of post-war Hoboken, New Jersey in his suite from "On the Waterfront," and he helped re-shape American musical theatre with his vibrant orchestration of the comic operetta "Candide."

Hangar Holiday 2009 - Nov. 14 - Nov. 15
